Dr. J. Daniel Day earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. His surgical internship and residency were at Mercer University School of Medicine/Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia. A graduate of Central High School in Knoxville, Dr. Day has a bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a masters degree in counseling psychology from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Day and his wife, Mary Lawson, have three children: Samuel, Richard and Della.
