A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Dr. Villarreal received his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. His general surgery internship and residency were at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, La, where he was Chief Surgical Resident. Dr. Villarreal and his wife, Kimberly, have three sons. His interests include sports activities with his children.
